About

United Moravian Societies also known as UMS…

is a Moravian, Czech, and Slovak heritage organization which celebrates and preserves cultural heritage in the Chicago land area.

We do this by promoting Moravian, Czech, and Slovak folklore by demonstrating ethinic customs of folk dancing, singing, storytelling, and crafting.

Because our goal is for you to discover a home within our culture and community

Membership

Become a UMS Member and be part of the fellowship, heritage, and leadership that keep our community strong. Your voice matters, and your involvement makes a difference.

We welcome anyone interested in joining our cultural community. New members are voted in at our monthly meetings.

The United Moravian Societies Monthly Meeting is held on the second Friday of every month and begins promptly at 8:00 PM.

Dancers

Join one of our dance groups! All have the opportunity to preform at Moravian Day and learn Moravian dances. All ages are welcome!


Singers
$5.00

Join our UMS singers!! Sing Moravian, Czech, and Slovak songs and preform them at Moravian Day!

Here at United Moravian Societies, we blend the joy of Moravian culture with the tools to learn more about it with Czech school, a place to hang out, and events filled with food, children activities, and performances. Evenings hanging with friends, learning more about our culture and enjoying it together.
